Professional Life

My name is Kevin, and welcome to my online resume. I have been in the software development world for 15 years now, with 3 years as a manager and several more in team lead roles and responsiblities.

I’ve always excelled in having a strong mindset about strategic plans and coming up with durable and maintainable solutions to even the most complex of problems. I’m able to communicate these plans and respond with feedback from the team and stakeholders to grow it into something great.

I have worked across several different industries, so bring a diverse background of technological know-how with a focus in the C# and .NET frameworks. I’ve developed several robust APIs and SaaS that worked to help mitigate complex solutions.

I am a Veteran of the United States Navy, having worked as a Machinist Mate aboard the SSN Asheville, a Nuclear Submarine. The skills I learned in service have been vital to my career, as they taught me to keep a cool head, think clearly and precisely, and have the authority over my own actions and choices while looking at the big picture.

I also hold an Associates Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science, and am actively pursuing my Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. I feel that these two worlds rely on each other, and I felt getting the next level of degree would help me bridge the gaps and further advance the tech advocacy across the business and create a stronger team and application.

Personal Life

I am a father to two amazing teenagers, who are active in school sports and clubs, as well as active social lives. They often accompany me on my adventures, and my oldest also worked to bring "An Hour of Code" and "Girls in Code" to her middle school.

In my free time, I enjoy time in nature - whether it's hiking, camping, kayaking, or just sitting in peace. I'm also a professional photographer, with a strong gallery of nature and city scapes, along with weddings, portraits, and more.
